How much is it to hire you?
The MILLION DOLLAR question and a great one too! My services range from $2,500 to $3,500 total. These prices vary based on the deliverables and the time required. Throughout the project, I don't issue invoices until the end. All prices for the different stages are listed in the contracts given when inquiries are first made. In my contract, I have fixed prices and hourly pay during the illustration portion. I do track my time. The final time with amount will be noted in the invoice.

A standard children’s book typically takes 3 to 6 months to complete, depending on the complexity of the art, your written description, and my current schedule. Because art takes time, please reach out well in advance of your target publication date.
Do you handle the book layout, formatting, and text placement?
Absolutely! My principal service is providing the illustrations. However, I do offer complete book formatting (typesetting, copyright page, and overall text placement).
Owenership & Copyright
Who owns the rights to the artwork?
Until the final payment is made in full, I retain the copyright to the illustrations. I also reserve the right to showcase them in my portfolio even after the project is completed, BUT I refrain from posting any content until you have shared it first! You deserve to have your big moment!!! You will receive automatic ownership and the right to publish, print, and distribute the artwork forever.

What file formats will I receive?
You will receive print-ready, high-resolution (300 DPI) CMYK files in PDF format (standard). If you need a different file type, just ask! All files will include the required standard industry bleed margins.
